A senior executive of Channel 4 TV has defended the documentary Skint which outraged the people of Scunthorpe when it was screened last year.
Ralph Lee, the head of factual TV at the station, said the broadcaster had "no malign intent" and was trying to tell stories about "some of the distressed parts or our society."
